Thursday Arch Series

.
Back to the new Arch and downtown overlook in East St. Louis, Illinois. The image across the bottom is not a Photoshop trick. The railing at the end of the overlook has this picture in the metal (I don't know how it's done) labeling the major features across the Mississippi.

I like how this turned out. It's an HDR with much messing around with levels, contrast and sharpness. It looks a bit like an etching.

en b&w avec le HDR cela rend bien.

Yes! Awesome. I might have figured this out if I had taken the time to study a bigger image when I saw it on flickr. Instead it just perplexed me, and I accepted it as either PS or mystery and went on with my day, assuming I would see explanation here eventually.

Bob,
Great shot as always.
They left out the power lines in the picture at the bottom tho.
BTW... My odyssey to the great first coast has been postponed to a date to be determined. I will be emailing you when the dates firm up.
Take care,
Eric

Wow, it looks kind of dramatic! I like that cityscape with this unique arch in its center. Great image!

This is one for the Arch book, just fabulous. I akso like the tie-in to FaceBook. I'm slowly becoming a fan, though I never expected that.
